Help! My iPod Touch got wet!

    Keep it turned off and put it into rice, that will absorb the mosture. Leave it for a day or two and it may dry out for you.

    Thanks a mil but I tried that.....nothing, nada, zilch, dead as a doorknob.
    I left it into the Apple fix it people today but not holding out much hope.
    Devastated.
    Can't afford another and lost without it :(

    Rice and the hotpress is your best bet. If this doesn't fix it then it's RIP :(

    When apple receive it, they will open the casing up to which they will find a water damage indicator - which will most definitely be discolored.

    It sounds like your going to have to buy a new iPod Touch, but for future reference make sure that if you drop something into water DO NOT POWER IT ON until it has been left in rice for 48 hours (or in a tub with silica gel) - once you power the iDevice on, the circuits short with the water.
