    kilronans more touristy, joe wattys is good craic though :)

    if you want to avoid vast amounts of american tourists ( i enjoy them around) try inis oirr or my favourite inishbofin.

    Bofin's not a one of the aran islands though, its an island off the coast of connemara, you get a boat not far from clifden.

    Ive seen a good few hens over there. As far as i know, Joe wattys closes early enough as theres gardai on the island. On bofin in either of the 2 pubs they stay serving till all hours at the weekend if theres a good group. Had some of the best nights of my life in days bar.

    Either choice will be good
