Have SBsettings installed and its working fine. I've noticed that when I click on processes and delete all the apps that are still running in the background that it does'nt delete them when i double click the home button??

Why is this? It seems like deleting them from "processes" in sbsettings has no point if they are still running when you press the home button.

Also wondering if there are any "better" keyboards available? I don't have any major probs with the default one, but I'm sure there's a few better ones which offer a little bit more finger space??

Can this keyboard be used while texting?

I agree with you on the battery life surely. It seems SBSettings is a drain. I'm barely getting a day from the battery as it is.

Any idea about the itypefaster app?? Really seems like a decent keyboard IMO!

I never notice a problem with SBS settings, probably the main reason i jailbreak to have this handy option. Just knock some things off when not in use such as Wifi etc. When i end processes i notice that they are ended.

Since I installed "multifl0w" the apps are ended when deleted on sbsettings. But prior to this when multifl0w was'nt installed the background apps were not turned off and were still active when I double clicked the home button.

Multifl0w.....what a class cydia app!! Worth the jailbreak for this alone!

Bit of a silly question but......push notifications, do they only work if you've the app on in the background? Obv, I know you have to be connected to either wifi or 3G, but would like to know if I'd still be able to receive facebook notifications if it was'nt running in the background(as in deleted from sbsettings processes).

    Hey Four,

yes, once you kill the processes in sbsetting they are not running, however apple has this anoying thing where is keeps a list of recently accessed apps in its launcher, but they are not running. You can install a program called "remove resents" to get rid of them but multifl0w does the same.

Yes you can still get push notifications when the app is switched off, the way to switch them off is to goto setting -> notifications and then select which apps can send push notifications.

SBSettings does not affect your battery life at all, but I highly recommend that you install backgrounder and set it up as i mentioned to you in the email i sent you.

Is backgrounder not the same really as multifl0w in that that you can run apps in the background easily?

No, its a whole new backgrounding system, you can chose weather you want your apps in the background or not, and apps that don't support backgrounding such as fm104 can now do so.

Set it up like this, and select short hold of home button for activation method, you will save a lot on battery if you only enable background apps when you need them.

When you set up the activation method, in an app when holding down the home button you will see a notice saying backgrounding enabled, you can now access the app from multifl0w

Ok, I've set up backgrounder as you said above.

So just to make sure, this is whats happening:

    In Multifl0w(in settings) I've backgrounder 4.0 "enabled".

Multifl0w has no apps running in the background as when I double tap home button is says "no backgrounded apps!"

When I go into "processes" in sbsettings....there are no apps running either(only the phone app).

So am I right in presuming that I can't use multifl0w as there's never any kept running in the background?

Can someone please explain this to me as its kinda annoying me that I don't know whats meant to be going on.

I've backgrounder enabled in the multifl0w tab in settings. In activator I've backgrounder set to enable via "short hold of home button" and multifl02 enabled via "double press of home button".

But there's never any apps in the background anymore as presumably they're been shut down when I exit. This is very annoying esp when trying to download an app etc....it just stops the download and I've to restart all over again.
