Now I know that the whole movie can be summed up in 2 minutes 28 seconds. That trailer left none of the story out! Heck we even know where the couple will reunite (thankfully not an airport for once in a Rom-Com).

Out here this weekend, I expect lots of scenes of Jake's hot bod ;)

Didn't realise Ed Zwick was directing, might actually give it the time of day now! He's not the best in the world but movies are usually enjoyable. Oh think how good Last Samurai would have been if Tom Cruise(or indeed his character) wasn't in it :(

The trailer leaves a bit out.

    Jake Gyllenhaal is an
    underhanded drugs rep
, and Anne Hathaway's character is
    suffering from Parkinson's disease
    .

They should have called this film Love and Other Montages. Because there were times I felt like I was watching a feature length collection of montages: they just kept on coming :(

As for the film, decidedly meh, bordering on the dreadful. For the few things that they do right - performances, (mostly) decent handling of the
    Parkinson's stuff
, refreshing lack of L-Shaped sheets which makes a change from the typical glossy Hollywood rom-com - there is a plethora of stuff wrong. It has serious identity issues, unsure whether it wants to be serious or lighthearted, regrettably settling on rom-com cliches in the last act especially. The period stuff is in your face and obnoxious - nearly walked out during the opening scene because it was such a disgraceful, cringey cavalcade of 90s cliches. And then the montages, so many ****ing montages.

I've seen worse films, but also seen **** ones that are better than this. The two leads actually have some character and chemistry, but apart from that, you're firmly in crap town.

Saw this yesterday and I really enjoyed it - better than your typical chick flick & funny in parts - definately worth a watch.

Saw this last night and thought it was quite enjoyably, funny in parts and not what i would call your average romcom. Thought the two leads were very good and you could see some chemistry between the pair. A very different change of direction from Zwick who has previously directed The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond and Defiance.

Love may be in the title but there is little 'love' in this movie. What you do get are lots of sex scenes and when it's not on the screen the characters are talking about sex with every second word of dialog being an expletive. Do Americans really talk and behave like this? American society is depicted as being completely amoral. The drug salesman who meets a girl with an incurable disease. You may think up a few likely scenarios given the subject matter but it's all very predictable.

I saw this last week with the gf and hated almost every second of it. I found Anne Hathaway's character to be one of the most annoying performances I've ever seen.
(Example: JG does/says something, AH (smirking): Oh does this approach/story/attitude usually work for you?
    While her
    handling of Parkinson's
was actually quite good and endearing, I hated the character and her aloof superior ways so much by the time
she was having a hard time with it
that I just couldn't care. JG's character was the standard rom-com male role, hot bod, start off as a dick but fall in love and we all like him by the end.

Big pile of meh that wasn't even saved by AH's frequent nudity, avoid!

Okay, starts off v differently something along the lines of the remake of "alfie" which is good, some chuckles and lol moments, anna hathaways boobs, some great sex scenes (but im in a cinema so whats the point) then it gets good again then ends like most rom coms i have seen!

    meh 5/10

I was going to comment on this criticism, but it pretty much speaks for itself. :pac:

Liked it but felt it didn't really know what it was trying to be. One minute it was serious and the next minute it was rom-com / slap stick. Very hard to pull off and don't think they did.

Some great moments in it though and well worth watching, very enjoyable .. just a tad forgettable is all.

I am left utterly disgusted at this scandal of a movie
I bet Pfizer paid for half the budget...it's SHOCKING the lvel of product placement and blatant product promotion.

The whole movie is a Pfizer advert from start to finish, i'm not gonna bother to review the movie because the whole Pfizer thing has me utterly sickened
