iPhone & Gmail Password Protection

Hi guys, I currently have the Gmail iPhone app set up and it's working perfectly fine but I'm just a bit concerned about security. At the moment I just click on the app and I'm automatically logged in. So if I lost my phone and somebody went into it they could immediately access my gmail account.

Is there a way of password protecting it so that I'm asked to enter my password when I click on the app?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers, WG.

If you're concerned about security you would be best a password protecting your phone, so that you have to enter a passcode to unlock it. You can then set it to erase all the data if the passcode is entered incorrectly 10 times.

To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock.

Thanks I'll do that. But does that mean that there is no way of specifically password protecting Gmail?

Log in to your gmail account in your browser, at the bottom you'll see this: Last account activity: 0 minutes ago at this IP (XXX.XX.XX.XX). Details

Click details, log out all other sessions. Not sure if it will work if the password is stored to the iPhone though...

Not if you use the stand alone mail app that comes with iOS. You can use gmail in browser and set it so it doesn't remember your password.
