Bar code labels and scanner

    Hi Guys

    I hope you are well im looking for recommendations on the following.

    1. I need a handheld bar code labeler, one where I can type in a code and the labeler will produce a barcode for that code. I would then need to be able to print that barcode and on that label should be the bar code, part number, our contact details and logo.

    2. Can any one recommend software to go with the above as we would like to be able to scan these barcode and get a picking list produced or invoice which we can send out with the goods.

    Any recommendations for the above would be great as we need to get away from our manual system. Any idea what you would be talking about costwise as well.

    The likes of visionid in Tipperary will do this equipment.

    The issue that drives the cost of this is going to be with integrating this into your inventory/accounting system, if you have one. If you don't have one, you'll need one and that could be a complicated purchase. Where to start with that? I'd start with your accounting software supplier, but there are many possible vendors. There might be something available that is specific to your particular industry.

    I use a brother label printer that does barcodes... It aint handheld tho, I'm sure they have one that'll do it tho. Mine came with the software to create the barcodes, I have a template made up with contact details and logo and all i gotta do is enter the ref code and it creates the barcode n prints it..
