Working in France for the Summer

Hi, I'm just starting at UCC and next year I want to work in France for the summer to improve my language skills and experience the culture. I won't be ale to take part in Erasmus until third year.
The best thing I have found so far is WWOOFING, but from what I've heard it doesn't have the best reputation.
Ideally I could work in Paris, but how to find work there I don't know.
So has anyone here worked in France for a while during the summer? What did you do? What was your experience in general like?

    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

I know a couple of people who have done WWOOFING in the Ardeche region, and have only good things to say.

I live in France now. Certainly you could work for a summer in Paris, but you would be unlikely to make any money, and anyway, in the summer, Paris is not at its best.
