Advice on cassettes

I have recently bought a turbo trainer. I got a cheap second hand rear wheel to use on it and a training tyre. I also bought a new cassette. The existing cassette on my non-training wheel is a 10 speed shimano 105 5600. The new one is the 5700 version of the same cassette. My existing cassette and chain are about 3 months old, have about 1,700 km on them and (I think) I have maintained them well.

    My questions are:

Is it worth swapping the old cassette on to the training wheel and putting the new one on my proper wheel (in terms of wear and perceived advantages of the new model)?
Am I alright using my existing chain or should I replace it as it will be used (sometimes) with a new cassette?

    Thanks in advance.

id say hardly worth the hassle of swapping the cassettes unless theres a nicer ratio on the new one or something.

no real point in changing the chain either. your still gointa want to use both wheels id imagine (rollers durin the week and out on the road with the other wheel at the weekend).
