    Hi everyone,

How do I hook up my monitors to my laptop so that I can listen to my itunes or dvds through them instead of through the crappy onboard speakers?

They are Yamaha hs50m. I usually use a 1/4" guitar lead coming from my interface to each monitor.

    Thanks a lot,
    Mick

Do you have an external soundcard for the laptop? What I've noticed with the Toneport I'd need to change the audio properties of the software I'm using in order to get my Laptop to play through the soundcard.

If not, you are going to need a stereo mini-jack to phono lead. You can get phono to 1/4 inch adaptor, so it'll be able to plug straight into the monitors...

i'd recommend using an external soundcard too.
