Hi i was just looking at my timetable there and it says i have a lecture that will finish at 6. but i also start work at six on that day. my job has already bent over backwards to allow me to go to college so there is no room for change there.

i work about 10 minutes away from dit so do you think anyone would mind if i left the lecture 20 minutes early or could i miss out on some course work ect...?? thanks.:)

you can leave a lecture early however it might not be advisable to leave early. It's not school, they can't force you to stay but.... Aside from any work you might miss out on, it will probably start to piss the lecturer off after a few weeks. Why not ask work if you can arrive 10 minutes late and then just be ready to run from college?

I'd just tell your lecturer the situation at the start of the year. He'll most likely understand and not be a di*k about it.

Really cant do much about work. they're about to kill me as it is for all the trouble ive given them. suppose i can tell the lecturer what the story is. sure i cant be missing too much in 15 minutes. :p

do lecturers give you assignments ect.. or do they just talk about a topic?

Tell the lecturer, most of them would be fine with it. Also see if you can get some notes from someone else in the class.

Just tell the lecturer, I have had to do this on and off for the last two years and they never have a problem once you let them know and sit at the end of a row (less disruption), they aren't idiots they understand people have to work too.
