    any of you guys know what train is running the 6pm to cork tomo? and the 5.30 back on friday?

    will it not be the normal mk4 Intercity%20MK%20IV.JPG or have irish rail started using the 22000's on peak time cork services too?

    Not always. The 9am service from Dublin to Cork is sometimes a 3 car 22k.

    not worth it if there is only a handful of passengers

    Makes sense to run that service as a short 22k. The loadings are never very high because the cheap fares start with the 10am service.

    yeah but then you have to run a return with it or send it somewhere else, whereas the 201/Mk4 would be there anyway to do the return...

    Plus IE make a point of blabbing about the mk4s comfort etc on the Dublin-Cork route.

    I've been one the 22ks twice and they are horrible uncomfortable trains, no way I'd ever get one to Cork, the one to Galway was bad enough
