And I dont really want to sound pettie, but
A neighbour of mine, opens his gates out , so they block the path.So if you want to go down the path you have to go onto the road. Its only because he does it so the kids have to go out onto the road that I ask.I know we all have a neighbour like that and Im really not pettie. Some people have nothing better to do than wait till kids old goes out to play on their scooter, open the gates and sit back and laugh...
I this leagal, is he stopping a right of way.If you knew him , you would understand.Cathy

OP it seems you're looking for advice here which unfortunately is not allowed within the limits of the Forum Charter. Practically, you might be able to get somewhere by approaching the person and asking him to stop.

The alternative approach is to engage a solicitor, which might cost you something in terms of money but may be worth it if this stops.

Now, I usually close threads of this nature, but I will leave it open on the basic understanding that you will not get legal advice here and any advice should only be of a practical nature.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Yeah, don't worry. Petty or not. Sometimes these things are very stressful and hurtful depending on a personal circumstances or indeed state of mind. Also, often there is no issues at all, merely a misunderstanding.

The next time he does it phone the guards, or better still get onto the local county council and tell them that your neighbour is obstructing a pavement and endangering pedestrians.
