It's on this weekend I believe but I haven't worked out if it's on any of the TV channels.

Anyone know where/if it's on TV?

    Cheers.

I cant believe nobody is showing this. This event is once every 4 years! What about Eurosport?

Nope Eurosport have been particularly quiet this year with the BBC taking the DL. This race would come under the same lines as the World Challenge regarding coverage

Isnt this event technically a "Championship" though with medals for the top 3 in each event?

Eurosport showed Lucerne a few weeks ago. Surprised they aint showing this considering all the top names that will be on show.

AFAIK this is more a team championship as the national teams are nominated from the preceeding European Team championships too be added to the existing continental teams

Edit: Correction there are medals for this. Only one Irish name in the medalists Coughlan

Probably just because it is so late in the track season for such a taxing race so they added a 3k to have the usual two longer distances

True but was hoping to see the americas v's the Africans in that, could have been a good race. Although they have mixed it up a few times this season.

No Solinsky though and with Lagat doubling may not see him at his best given the long (Indoor and Outdoor) seasons he has had with 4 ARs

Yep that what I seen from the line up really enjoyed watching solinsky and rudd this year.

Heart goes out for Rupp twice this year he has been under the American record only to be beaten by Lagat (indoor) and Solinksy (10k) so is yet to claim a national record for himself. Still Salazar has been great progressing him steadily right through college and i feel he is one of the top american runners in terms of potential in next 4 years

Yep but i'd say Rudd is happy enough , he had a set back early in the year that cause some problem, had the same thing myself years ago and wasnt right for about 2-3 months.

I guess this isn't on anywhere is it?

    Shame.

Anyone know what the next athletics on TV are? I'm not sure but it might be the Commonwealth Games from the 3rd of October. Although the article I read on the BBC website the other day seems to suggest they are far from ready for them.

The Al Jazeera website has live feed. English commentry with Tim Hutchins. It should come with a health warning though as that annoying female commentator from the World Indoors is back, and more annoying than ever!

Good lord, the standard of African Athletics is awful in some events. The African champion is out at 3.40 in the womens pole vault!

Channel 5 and SKY showing coverage of Great Yorkshire Run next weekend. BBC will cover Great North Run, and Commonwealth Games on Red Button.

The al-jazeera link is a nightmare for me today. It just keeps "buffering" and stopping and starting and the screen starts freezing aswell at times. I missed Derval's race as a result. I've tried refreshing so much that I've just given up at this stage! Anybody else having the same problem.

Official results from the 100m Hurdles

    http://www.iaaf.org/documents/pdf/4435/AT-100H-W-f--1--.RS1.pdf

Derval 5th in 12.99. She got off to a great start and from what I could see she was well up there at the half way point. Faded badly though by the looks of things. Not a great run at all to be honest. Her post Barcelona form has been patchy, but deserves a well earned break now after a great season.
