    Hi all,

Hope everyone is in good form on this lovely Wednesday afternoon.

Bit of a recurring dream going on, would like your opinions.

    Background.
I'm a guy in my mid 30's, very happy with life, very happily married with a child.
    All good.
Happily married, no issues, no relationship strife etc, all good.

    Issue is;
with the past 2 months or so, I am having very vivid and realistic dreams / fantasies I guess - about an older woman.
Very detailed and specific sexual relations with this older woman.
Now - the thing is, I know this older woman well, she is close to the family and my wife etc.
She is in her early 50's I believe, married with kids, and is a pretty good looking woman.
Nothing has ever happened, and see above - I'm very happily married....
But I'm confused as to why I repeatedly have these dreams?
Why these dreams, and why about the same woman?

WTF is going on with my sleeping mind?

    Hey OP,

Just to make you feel better. I had reaccuring dreams that I was married to Whoopi Goldberg (I **** you not), they were the most peaceful and happy dreams I've ever had, she was the best wife in the world. All the dreams were of her bringing me tea, being sweet and then getting into bed beside me and giving me cuddles or us have the most romantic loving sex ever. I had these dreams regularly over the space of 2 years, now the thing is . . . . I a straight girl. I've never even been bisexual, LOL, I really don't know why I was dreaming that at all but you know what, it doesn't matter. Don't stress about it!!! Who knows why we dream the things we do but like I said it really doesn't matter. Don't attach that much importance to dreams, it could be dangerous because you'll start looking at the this older woman in a new (inappropriate) light, you're happy in your marraige so cherish it!!! Don't worry about your subconscious mind, it's uncontrollable and it'll stress you out if you attach meaning to what is basically meaningless. If it's really really bothering you tell your wife about it and have a good laugh, that's if you think it won't upset her (have a good think about that one, you know your OH best, would she find it funny or upsetting?, be careful anyways).

So yeah, don't stress about it!!!

Do you fancy the older woman a bit OP? I notice you stress you are happily in a relationship and that nothings happened but you completely fail to tell us if you are harbouring a bit of a crush...which would be my first guess as to why you are having dream fantasies.

Who knows, dreams are just dreams, dont let them bother you, you might as well enjoy them as youre not doing any harm in your head!

Thanks for the comments and feedback

    Hi notjustyou
    Thats fkn brilliant, genuine LOL
You are a straight woman, and you had loving and sexual dreams about Whoopi Goldberg!!!
Fantastic stuff, better still is your description and scene setting of the dreams - excellent stuff.
Point taken, don't worry too much about my subconscious mind.
Your dreams lasted approx 2 years, by the way - when / how / why did they stop?
    How can I stop mine?
Your story telling is so good - have you any other stories to share????

    Hi Ickle Magoo
Also a very good point, well made and observed.
To be very honest, I did not previously.
Previous to these dreams, she was merely an older woman that I knew
One of the many people that I meet in my activities, in the circle of people I know.
However, since I've started having these dreams, I am now seeing her in a different light.
Weird, strange and kinda warped, now when I meet her, she could be talking away to my wife, and then I get a kinda "LOST - style" flashback to my dreams, were she was doing kinky stuff - and I have to almost do a silent, nano-second double-take.
Then for a second I wonder if she would be like that (i.e. in the dream) - in real-life.
Then its back to normality - she talking about girly stuff with my wife and I kinda zone out.

So - a crush has NOT preceded the dreams, but since the dreams, perhaps a slight crush / or interest has developed.
So maybe, maybe a crush is slowly, slowly developing in the background.
Its weird and I'm confused. WhyTF am I even thinking / talking about a woman 15-18 years older than me in any other way than she is a woman I happen to know.......
Funny saying this stuff - actually putting it in words......:)

Sorry to drag OT, but this is honestly one of the funniest things I have read on boards in a while. Legend!

OP, if I was to attach meaning to all the messed up dreams that I have on any given night I'd have willingly admitted myself to a psychiatric ward years ago. I know sex dreams can be a little more intense than your average run-of-the-mill zombie chases and alien abductions (my subconscious has a weird sense of humour), but that doesn't mean they are any more meaningful - they could simply be functioning as a form of release that your mind needs, or a sense of security that you are seeking seeing as it's an older woman, or maybe it's easier for your mind to use this older woman to express some of your 'kinkier' sexual desires...any number of things.

If you're that troubled by it, invest in a dream book or visit a hypnotherapist.
