I only want to post a new thread about electrical questions. I have read all the FAQ and beginners guide but that all says i should have a post new thread symbol up in the top left hand corner but i dont so im completely lost here, any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

how exactly did you post this new thread here?

the "new Thread" button is on the left hand side of the screen , just above the "threads in this forum" header - you have to be at the forum main page to start a thread. if you are already viewing a thread the top button will say "post reply".
