Brick Slips as quoins?

Anyone ever use brick slips as quoins on the corners of a wall that is to be plastered. How do you fit them? scratch coat first and then stick them on? Can you just use the same adhesive as with the stone facades. I will have natural stone on front of house with brick quoins but was thinking about putting quoins around the…
