Online Movie Streaming Websites?

    Is there any Irish based websites that do Online Streaming of Movies? Don't think screenclick do and i can't find any others on the net.

    Nope the country is too small to make this a viable business model. Itunes / amazon will probably come into this market soon. In the mean time the big movie companies will fight the concept the same way they fought Sony about the VCR and then realized it was their greatest source of revenue.

    Thanks, Random Stranger (great name, by the way!). It's a very good article.

    So how do people know it would cost millions or that there is no market in Ireland for online streaming of movies? If you can set up an Online DVD rental business relatively cheap, why does it cost millions to get to stream the same movies you would rent out?

    Apart from anything else there's all the IT infrastructure you'd need to put in.... That would not be cheap for a project like this let alone the licensing costs for a streaming movies model..
