so i have an ex. went out for 2 years. ended, then in different countries for 2 years after that but stayed in touch regularly. We had such a great realtionship but he was crazy jealous and demanded a lot from me, quickly. We're still in touch now, and even after 2 years neither of us has had another semi-serious or serious relationship....

but now, in the past few months, a guy started to pursue me and i quite liked him so agreed to meet up a few times and although he's not the perfect guy, he's really nice and we get along well and the next thing we ended up in bed. and although i hadnt spoken to the ex in a good while i thought about him all the time.

I hadnt spoken to the ex in ages because we had a fight about meeting up and me wanting to meet up for a holiday and "see how we feel" and he wanting to meet up, get back together and take a plane back to his country to get married. But sure as hell - didnt he get in touch the day after!! I was distraught with guilt and torn because he was all apologetic about being too demanding and saying that he still wants to get back together and can we make it work, and i dont know, i felt free from him and it felt good; like i had closure and could move on. But i also missed him like HELL. its so painful.

as for the new guy, he's getting into this and wants to meet every day etc but i just dont have the energy for a new relationship to be honest as i'm very tired from this thinking....

    what should i do?

You have to resolve your feelings for the ex before you can move on. Your previous relationship sounds significantly flawed, so think carefully about how it will be different if you decide to give it another go. It doesn't sound as if the new fella sets your world alight, but that doesn't mean no one other than your ex will.

There's no law that says you have to go immediately from one relationship to another. Sounds like neither of these guys are right for you, so why not just have some time out on your own?
