Hi everyone,
Im a degree qualified civil engineer with 8 years experience working as an engineer on construction sites. I lost my job about a year and ahalf ago and because of the chronic state of the construction sector Im looking to expand my options by doing a masters course.

I have been offered a masters in IT and a Masters in applied science. I would appreciate it if anybody can give some info on the job prospects in either of these areas.

The applied science would probably bring me down the quality/process/manufacturing engineer route. I would be starting from a low point with the IT, is there much propect of getting work with no previous IT experience. Thanks for any advice you can give.
