    Anyone supprised?

Are they still running the adverts saying "more and more people are coming back to Eircom" ?

    SiliconRepublic
During the year, the company said it saw a reduction of 67,000 PSTN customers, 72,000 DSL customers and 38,000 mobile customers.

Eh??? DSL Grew ( barely) in Q2 2010 and in every other quarter too. They are all eircom customers even if not eircom retail customers.

These are retail numbers I believe.

With line rental and wholesale prices so high, I doubt that Eircom are too bothered about retail competition as long as they are still on the Eircom network.

Someone pointed out before that in actual fact it can work out better for Eircom to have someone move to another provider as long as they are still on a resold eircom product because it saves Eircom on staff etc to support them.

LLU and fibre providers are probably a big worry though.
