    A bump is used to put your thread back to the top of the page....most commonly seen in the advert sections of boards...
    eg..my advert is on the 2nd page...if I want it back on page 1 I just post a comment "bump" indicating that I've posted it to push it back onto the main page...
    One a day is considered fair...some people go overboard and bump every few hours which is frowned upon.
