It's against the ToS. I don't see how this makes me cheap, would I be cheap if i were to trade games with a friend to save me having to buy it? This is the same basic principal

Not really...its more like buying a game and giving a pirated copy to a mate since you are still retaining the game for yourself.

Yes but if the game had five copies would there be an issue with me giving one of those 5 copies away? Thats all that would be happening here

There would be a problem if you only paid for one of them, which you did.

I don't see why everyone is so against doing this? I mean we'd hardly be putting sony or the game companies out of business. I mean I'd say most of the people of who have posted against this or called me cheap have illegally downloaded music or movies, at least with this what's being downloaded is at least be paid for once

Its against the rules on Boards to discuss it anyway.

You unfortunately misunderstand how the PSN works. Every time you download a copy of the game, the developer/publisher gets charged for it by Sony. So while it's one thing downloading it multiple times yourself, allowing other people to do so having only paid for it once is costing them even more money.

Other people's past downloading activities also has no bearing on whether this is any more right or wrong. They also shouldn't have to make do with the scraps you throw them with the "at least it's being paid for once" excuse.

Wouldn't do this with a stranger. Firstly Sony are against it and Secondly if you get YLOD and can't deactivate your account on one of the systems, you wont be able to use that account on another system to download.

I wouldn't go on boards.ie setting up a thread to share illegally downloaded music or movies.

I'm afraid you also don't quite understand how PSN works. Every time 1GB is downloaded the company is charged 16 cent so for example on my account if I were to trade and let somebody download a 300MB game the company would only be charged once the game was downloaded 3 times. Once again hardly putting the game company out of business
Secondly if you get YLOD and can't deactivate your account on one of the systems, you wont be able to use that account on another system to download.

If you call up sony they will deactivate an account for you with no hassle

Locking this thread, no way something like this should be encouraged here.

Space Cadet banned for a week - only a few posts, and it's something like this. Don't ask anything like this in future.
