Does anyone know of a bus running from Mullingar that would get someone to Dublin in time to catch a bus to work in Ballyfermot by 7.30 am. From their website Bus Eireann seems to start at 6.20 am from Mullingar and gets to Spa hotel Lucan at 7.25 which is cutting it too fine.

That would be the only bus as far as I know. The driver will stop at Palmerstown and it's not a very long walk to Ballyfermot from there. (15-20 mins I think) depending on where you are going. There's also a Dublin bus running from Palmerstown to Ballyfermot, but wouldn't want to depend on it too much. Maybe try it out before you start working, to see about timing etc.

Trying to get a lift would be probably be your best bet. I'm sure there are plenty of people leaving Mullingar at 6am.

Best of luck with the job !

Agreed. Maybe someone should start a car-pooling forum........

Car pooling thread not a bad idea. I was asking about Ballyfermot on behalf of my neighbour who had never heard of boards.ie -. I used to do that 6am departure from Mullingar for Dublin for a few years. Its tough. Someone to share the driving and cost would have been great.
