Cleaning Limestone Cills

I've put in Irish Limestone Cills and although I had them covered, there are still a few spots and marks from mortar. Also, I had taped on a plywood cover with duct tape (the brown plastic one) and it seems to have left a bit of adhesive residue on the limestone in places. Can anyone recommend a specialty cleaner for Limestone, I don't want to try just any old household stuff in case it could stain them.

Thanks, but it looks like I need some sort of cleaner, some of the adhesive from the tape is fairly engrained.
