    Freeview is MPEG2
Irish Digital is more modern MPEG 4 so no picture.

The TV has a Freeview tuner, which is MPEG2 and only of use if you pick up Freeview signals from NI/UK.

Freeview is the brandname of UK's free digital terrestrial service.

RTE are using newer MPEG4 (Irish version of Freeview to be called Saorview), which won't work on MPEG2 setups. So... you'll need an MPEG4 settop box, or just rely on the analogue signal.
