Broken Beko Dryer...

Hoping someone might help me out here.

I have a Beko dryer that I bought just over 18months ago for 289. Last week, I turned it on and heard what sounded like a motor running, but the drum isn't turning at all. There is definitely power going into it when it's turned on, as there is a dull sound...but no movement or air.
My local electrical company said they'd come out and have a look for 80euro (call-out) and then another charge to fix it.
Is it worth the call out or should I purchase a new dryer altogether????

Could be a problem with the belt. Try and get a independent service man in your area, they're generally cheaper,it's not an expensive problem to fix.
