GTTR or UCAS?

Can anyone tell me which route is the preferred route to take when applying for a post grad in primary education in the UK starting September 2011?

Is it worth applying through both or will one cancel out the other?
What about applying directly to a college.

    Any thoughts?

I would say the GTTR is the way to go. Anyone I know that did a PGCE - myself included- applied using it, I do not know much about UCAS to be honest.

UCAS is kind of like our CAO, mainly for applying to third level from secondary.
To apply for a teaching post grad it's the GTTR (Graduate Teacher Training Registry) you want.

Cheers ,I've applied to the GTTR missed the deadline so I'll have to wait and hopefully receive something in the second round. Thanks again
