focus on private sale

Hi all, looking for a first car (still) and am being quite cautious about it (not sure if I'm over-cautious)
There's one on done deal at the moment, I've texted they guy and he says he's not a dealer but has a few for sale. I got his voicemail and he sounds pretty 'normal' if you get me, and he's based in Sandyford
Is this kind of thing usual? (a guy who's not a trader selling a few cars)

Trader who's avoiding registration so he doesn't have to give any sort of warranty.

Tragedy

He's selling a lot of cars(google his mobile) and some of them are sold by DG Trade Sales.

So he is a trader, he just doesn't want to offer a warranty or pay tax.

It's common, but I'd steer very clear - it's not like there aren't plenty of focus' around.

Always ring in future rather than texting, you'll pick up a lot more. Open with 'I'm calling about the car for sale', that'll tell you whether he's a dealer straight off the bat.:)
