    Hi everyone

I am looking to do a favour for my dads fishing club, to earn myself a little bit of money. They want to put their annuals online to their website, so I said I would look into it.

Now, what Im going to do is scan in each page, thats a given. However, from here, I need a bit of advice. I want to try make a PDF style thing that can be searched or at least have jump-to pages from an index.

    Things I need to know
    Where do I start?
Whats the best database to use or do I need one?
Is there any software that would do this? (will spend money, but nothing more than 100 I guess.)
Each is about 100 pages long and ive to do 10 years of it, so its 1000 pages, but 10 seperate PDF files accessed through the main website.
Anything else would be amazingly appreciated :)

    thanks!

Also, forgot to mention, I have some experience with SQL and HTML, as well as coding with C, C++ and VB. So technical talk shouldnt scare me... plus there is google for that... just need a push in the right direction ;)

The file size will be massive if you just scan the pages, better off to just use OCR, paste it into a word file, and save as PDF. No point over-complicating things.

Ah yes we are using OCR ;)

    Any advice though otherwise?
