Son is looking for an iPhone4.
    Pre-pay only,not bill.
Where is the best deal? He also wants to possibly trade his Nokia n95 - 8gb against it if possible.
    Cheers

I'm in the same position myself except I have an iPhone 3GS.

I think his best bet is too sell it on the internet on the likes of adverts.ie

Would get more money to put off it than if trading it in a shop.

Had a chat there with a CPW sales person and told me it would be advisable to go billpay as prepay is a rip off on charges with the ip4 ?
    Any suggestions ?

definitely dont get him a bill phone, when i was 18 i got one with vodafone and ran up a bill of €1200 over a few months

18 he is.. Was a demon for texting ( except to us  )
Has calmed down big time now and mainly uses the Netbook for online texting.
rarely looks for credit to be honest.
But as you say..If it were available then that could change back in an instant

If you'e going pre pay then best to get the phone from Apple, apart from anything else it'll be worth a lot more when you go to change again! You'll get 2% cas back if you sign up with bethrifty.ie as well

i think the thing to remember is not the calls or texting but the DATA.

    >to use the iphone in all its glory generally means you'll be using more internet and this is where the pre-pay can chew up your credit.

I'd go three mobile for this reason. 250 OR 500MB of data for a fiver, and you can use it for thethering, which WILL save your life some day!:D:D:D

Maybe not, but it comes in very handy!

I wouldn't be getting my 18 year old son a N95 followed by an iPhone 4. What'll he want next, a BMW no doubt.. Not wise in the CEC (used so much in the last 2 years it's had to be abbreviated! Current Economic Climate!).

CWP sales rep would want to sell a contract phone to make decent commission, I should know, i worked there for long enough and tried that stunt myself!
