    Hi,

    I am interested in completing the following course from Open University - BSc (Honours) Mathematics and its Learning. I am interested in becoming a teacher, does anyone know what else I need to do if I complete this course to become a secondary school teacher in ireland???? or can I use this course to become a teacher in ireland

    It doesn't look like it -is it a recent qualification - it might not have been vetted by the Teaching Council.

    i really don't know if it's new. I'll take a look at the one named on the website listed. I wonder how often they update the course list?

    I did the Bsc in Mathematics, graduating in 2006. I would thoroughly recommend it, the materials and teaching were excellent. I never really intended to work as a teacher but I was glad to see it's on the list of approved courses. The degree you mention must be pretty new, it wasn't around in my day anyway.
