Tax issue

Hi, I started a summer job in july (€9 per hour, around 20 hours a week on average)

Anyway I got my pay slip a few days ago and I'm paying standard rate income tax, an income levy and emergency tax. Just wondering if I should be paying all of these taxes for a job that will pay no more than €2000 for the year.

    Thanks for any info:)

It looks like your employer may not have recieved details of your tax credits and cut of point just yet...

If you get in contact with the Revenue and notify them that you are working. They will just need your employers Tax number - which should be on your payslip.
