    Hey folks :)

So I would love to know, will this game (single player) play on my laptop?

    As you may have guessed, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. Specs are;
Pentium Dual-Core 1.73 GHz, 32-Bit Operating System, 1014MB of RAM.

Thanks in advance for any and all informed responses :)

I played on my laptop for a while, and it has 4gb of ram, a 7950gtx, and a dual core 2.2ghz processor, and it was fine. however, i dont think your's will cut it. esp the 1gb of ram.

I loathe that 'let me google that for you' thing.

    This website is useful:

Those specs should handle it. 2GB RAM would be better, its needed if you have Vista. Whats your video/graphics card? That will be the deciding factor. If you can run DoWII then you should be OK.

I have similar processor (Toshiba Equium L40), with Vista, 2 GB RAM, onboard 128MB graphics card. However my settings are on low to handle it.

    Minimum System Requirements*:

PC: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 (Latest Service Packs) with DirectX 9.0c
2.6 GHz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
128 MB PCIe NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card or better

Mac: Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6.2 or newer
    Intel Processor
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT or ATI Radeon X1600 or better

PC/Mac: 12 GB available HD space
1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista/Windows 7 users, 2 GB for Mac users)
    DVD-ROM drive
    Broadband Internet connection
    1024X720 minimum display resolution

*Note: Due to potential programming changes, the Minimum System Requirements for this game may change over time.

    Recommended Specifications:

    PC: Windows Vista/Windows 7
    Dual Core 2.4Ghz Processor
    2 GB RAM
512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX or ATI Radeon HD 3870 or better

Mac: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
    4 GB system RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT or ATI Radeon HD 4670 or better

yeah ram will be your downfall.

i was running on 2 gigs and the last level just wont work...it will slow to a crawl about half way in when they throw everything but the kitchen sink at you.

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Yeah, I have kind of accepted the fact that it won't run on my laptop. I downloaded the first one, Brood War. Wow, it's way more fast paced and complicated than I thought it would be. It's going to take a LOT of practice before I'll be able to put up any sort of a fight online :O

I guess I'll have to wait another 5 years or so before I'll be playing Starcraft II :D
