i think an imported car for purposes of showing would look better with their original identity (old plates ) plates that could be put on or cover the new plates only when the car is at shows , alright i may be insane but its just my view on it

every car show I goto i see lots of cars still on UK plates. I do know of one that never drives on roads he trailers it to events. Not sure if thats allowed but he does it anyways.

I'm not sure, but if i remember correctly, a car that enters the state has to be registered, whether it's on the road or not... Not too sure what Revenue's take is on this... Anyone?

When I was registering my car a year ago I asked If I could change from ZV to C reg and I was told "YES" in the Cork VRT office, but not the other way around.
    Confused

it is the other way round...you can transfer TO ZV but not BACK
