I want to graft a small tree I have growing in my front garden to a root stock I planted in my back garden. The root stock is M26 planted it in June this year. My question is should I cut and store the scion in oct for grafting in feb. Or should I cut it the same day as i am going to do the grafting ( mid/end feb).
    Thanks

I would guess keep them as fresh as possible ... join the rootstock and scion wood ASAP so cut in Spring... Never any success with Grafting ... let us know how it turns out for you
