Clothes for an hourglass

I've been going through my clothes lately and I hate all of them. I'm 5 feet tall,7 stone and 33-25-35, AND NOTHING IN THE SHOPS FITS! The styles of clothes are all catered to people who are much more boyish than I am, and its impossible to look for style tips on the internet because when they say 'curvy' they mean plus-sized and they don't work for me. What clothes suit someone who is quite petite but an hourglass at the same time? And what shops sell clothes that fit this way? I normally only shop in H&M or Penneys. Maybe its just the trends at the moment, but all my clothes seem to drown me :P

I find Warehouse dresses really good - they have a waist but also have enough boob room. I also get a lot in Zara, except shirts (if they button, they are too big in the waist). Lately everything in Oasis is too small in the chest. Oh, Coast does some great workwear. There's a litany of shops I don't even set foot in - RI, Topshop etc - because they don't cater for the hourglass figure. (Not that mine is too hourglassy any more, due to excessive consumption of... everything)

I'm a pear rather than hourglass but have a small waist and found h&m the best place to buy clothes to fit. Dunnes can sometimes be good. Oasis is not bad. Zara is a complete no no unless you're a 6ft stick, same with topshop. In fact most high st stores don't allow for the fact that girls usually have hips and thighs.

I also get a lot of my clothes altered in particular dresses because they just never fit properly.

SAME! I love the style of tops where it nips in just under the bust, but on me, it's always half way between my waist and hips. I know it would really flatter me too. I'm 5'3'' 8 stone 35-26-35 but very short on top, longer in the leg.

I like Pull and Bear jeans, although they're so tight they'd fit anyone perfectly. I also like blouses with nice vests underneath because they fit my waist and if they don't fit my bust I just leave them open. Anything with a waist nipping belt looks great on petite frames.

I have a thigh length short sleeve jumper with a thick black waist belt and it actually looks nice on me, unlike most jumpers which make me look like a normal person who got squashed.

H&M and Penneys have particularly shapeless clothes. I feel completely swamped by them and I'm nowhere near as small as you. You'd be better off buying far fewer clothes that fit well. Try TK Maxx because they have loads of brands on one rail that you can try for size.

I found a place in Dublin city that takes jeans up for a tenner by the next day or fifteen on the day. It's called Fitz and it's beside George's St Arcade.

I find H&M's clothes tiny in the bust and too big on the waist for me, then too tight on the hips

I agree with the choices of Zara and Warehouse.

Zara is good too, forgot about that it's just not my style. I'd say most Spanish/French brands will be good because they're smaller and curvier than Irish women over there.
