Buying a Mac

Im thinking of buying a MacBook Pro tomorrow..I'm heading to Dundrum and wondering if HMV is the best/only place to buy?

My first place to check last week was Compu b but they don't have the 13" in stock. Depending on where you buy do you always call Apple for after sales service?

Is there any advantage to buying a Mac in Compu b over places like HMV/Arnotts?

    Thanks for any feedback!

Buy it online, you'll be able to get whichever spec you actually need + any extras; cables or whatnot. Also the aftersales support will be more straight forward.

Thanks for the info...i might check out PC World in Liffey Valley. Have you ever had any problems with your MacBook? How were pc world in helping you out or did you go straight to the apple customer care?

it makes no difference whatsoever where you buy your new mac, due to apple's pricing model there probably won't be any differences in price.

Call around check who has what in stock.

As for aftersales care, you'd be wasting your time dealing with PC World, Arnotts etc .. they are not ASP (Apple Service Providers).

If you have a problem with the machine apple will refer you to one of the ASPs in Dublin, the likes of Mactivate, Typetec or Evad to do the repair.
