Missed call from a random number

And they don't leave a voicemail, do you ring them back to find out who they are?
Any good stories? Any marriages from it?

This is after you put the 5 after the 085/086/087 to see if you can hear who they are by the voicemail but still no joy.

Usually I don't butI did when I had a missed call earlier this evening.

Rang it back and it sounded like two kids messing, I said what did you ring me for they said they didn't :confused:

Reminds me of another time I had two missed calls off another random number, rang it back and some bloke answers I go "Whose this I had a couple of missed calls off your number" he then denies vehemently that he rang me, I told him to check his last calls on his mobile and he continues to deny it so I told him not to ring my number and hang up.
2 minutes later the same cnut rings me back and asks me did I ring him - what a freak.

    Rant over!

I never answer or ring back.

Here in Beijing it's usually just an automated scamming system, it will ring your phone for a fraction of a second, later you see you've missed a call and call them back and get charged some insane call rate.

Im the same i don't answer calls that are from a private or unknown number. Sure you wouldn't know who'd be on the other end. Ive have a slight bit of bother from prank callers before so thats partly my reason.:)

After many calls & texts from a 'random' number & being followed home one evening by the 'random' caller I had to go to the Guards to sort it out.

So, no, there was no marriage from it.

Were the guards able to find out who was calling you?

I knew who was calling me. A friend of a friend was working with a mobile network & was able to find out, not exactly legal but I had an idea of who it was & just wanted it confirmed.
Guards were able to find out who it was from the reg number on the car. Told them what I knew & they had a word with him about it.
Guard that I made the complaint to was very cute :)

Yeah i think the guards in Dublin in general are cuter/hotter than the ones in the country. Obviously i don't know the entire force so im just commenting on the ones ive seen.
Thats good that it stopped for you Easyseason 3. While i just recieved the prank calls, it was very annoying and i never figured out who it was. It just stopped then all of a sudden. ............ive probably just jinxed myself now:rolleyes:

I used to get calls from strange girls asking me for a "ride". They knew my name and where I lived. Only theory I have is that is one of my mates wrote my number and details in a jacks somewhere...

Why was this phone number any more random than any other phone number you might receive a call from?

    I'm confused.

    got it ...
    Put ur no. on private*
ring persons no. with 5 after prefix ie 0875 1234,....
press # when message is played.
you will be asked for password- it will be 0000 if the person hasn't changed it.

    *very very important.:D

morale of story change your voicemail password.
