I recently moved down to Newcastle west from Dublin city, and got a course in LIT. The only problem I'm having is that, I don't know limerick and am pretty much lost when I leave the bus station, the college site dosent give much information on how to get to the college by bus so I'm very confused on how I'm going to get there on the day for registration

    Any help would be great.

ok folks help is at hand. I'm going to LIT too in Sept.(from Limerick) There is a taxi rank at the trainstation. But your talking 6 euro a pop to LIT. The college isn't really that far from the city center. Its basically across the Shannon. Maybe 2 miles at the most. You can get buses out from town, and I bet after a day or two you'll all get to know people who are driving to LIT everyday and you'll get a lift of someone.

Just try make your way out to LIT next week or something before the first day. That will help put any fears to rest.

College is next door to Thomand park home of Munster. You really can't miss it once you head the right direction. If your coming in Shannon side,Ennis, Airport then its the first part of the town you hit.

if you ask at the busstation/ trainstation when you get off
they have city buses going straight out to caherdavin LIT

or else go down to henry street and get the bus outside dunnes
ask for directions , its not far

If you find your way to Dunnes Stores, get the number 302 bus to Caherdavin. You'll want to get off at the LIT stop so press the stop button just as your coming to the roundabout after the Garda Station. The bus will pull up right across from the college. You'll be in the door in 30 seconds!

Well the OP is new to Limerick so I doubt that would have been too much of a problem!

I live real near the bus station, basically you need to walk straight out of the station, turn right, take the first left down roaches street, take the 4th right turn on to henry street. Dunnes is just up on your left. Take the 302 and ask the bus driver to show you the lit stop, it's two stops after thomand park. The bus goes every 20 mins. So 20 to the hour, on the hour, and 20 past the hour. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station, and the bus journey is ten minutes. So if you time it right you should arrive at the college 20 minutes after you leave the station.

It's a nice city really! Don't be too worried! What are you studying?

Doubt it. The bus stops across from where it picks up near the garda station and the next stop is LIT. So two stops after Thomond Park.

Nope, the bus stops at thomand park, then LIT is two stops after.
