DVD player for australia and uk dvds

    I wanna buy a dvd for a friend that plays australian region 4 and european/uk region 2 dvds.Can i buy one in dublin, theres a multi region dvd player in powercity 27euro,will that play australian dvds.region 4 dvds.

    As far as I can recall, a region 2 and 4 are the same - a region 2 machine should play region 4 discs. In any event if you buy a region-free player such as those in Powercity it will play Region 4 discs fine.
