Connected Persons Transactions

Where a transaction takes place between 2 connected persons even though no money may be paid the market value of the property in question is substituted for the value or NIL value as the case may be.

So if a father/mother gives his/her son/daughter a site then its the market value of the site that is subject to tax CGT, CAT & Stamp duty and not a NIL value.

Just to clarify on a post that was closed.

Read the charter. If you want advice on a transaction that could run into thousands of euro of tax liability seek compentent professional advice.
