Can anyone help me come up with a good name for a millinery/ head wear shop??

I didn't want to use the word "hat" in the title because its not just hat's its cocktail hat's fascinators etc.

I seem to be having a serious case of creativity block!!

Any help would be much appreciated!!

There are too many good names with 'hat' to pass them off easily mind you...

New hat (as against 'old hat' :))
    Hats off
    Hat'll be the day!

    Head-dress / Dressy heads

    :D

I think you should go through all the pretty things used to make hats, fascinators, etc, isolate some words and see if they sound like they could work as a name. So it sounds boutique-y rather than obvious hat related stuff.

I'll try and have a think myself, to explain better what I'm trying to say. For example the restaurant "Mustard", food related, but not "WE SELL FOOD".

Ok I've come up with an example, a bad one but you'll get the idea. So feathers are used a lot when making hats, fascinators and all that. Well feathers have quills, so something like the word "Quill", and you could put a little feather with it on business cards, signs etc. That's a pretty crappy name but you get the idea, hopefully! You'll know a lot more hat related words than I do!

Unless you are designing a range and trying to make a brand from your own name, for resale or franchise opportunities I would run with the likes of TIP-TOP or HEADS-UP!

When you decide upon a name I would suggest submitting it to elance online for a professional logo design. Cost is as little as 150 dollars.

Personally I'd stay well away from these cheesy names, Headwear etc is normally bought for a formal occasion be it a wedding, funeral, horse racing etc

A jokey name isn't the way to go imo, something professional and sharp that makes sense is advisable. Most people won't know a headwear shop offhand, so when they do a google search / ring directory enquiries you want your name to come up.

I suppose something like "Creative Headwear Ltd", or "Bespoke Millinery Ltd" etc etc

    Good luck with it.

I'd have a look at this domain name generator (http://www.zdnetasia.com/downloads/windows/springboard-domain-seeker_sw-39580842.htm). I know it's a domain name generator but you can also come up with your business name with it. It really is very good.
