IMO, it was the hardest of the 4 years, workload wise. You will be getting a C lab every week. Do every single one, and do them right, it doesn't matter how long it takes. Second year telecoms can me mind-numbingly boring, but pay attention and try to understand, these are concepts that come up again and again (I don't know how many times I was taught IPv6, but it was at least 4 times). 2nd year Java is grand, Design Patterns are a bit abstract, but look for examples of their use online, easy exam question.

There's already a first year thread here. I don't want to clutter a thread about second year.

    Tips for 2nd year:
    • Do your Hardware/Architecture coursework.
    • You can find the solution to some of the Eiffel coursework via google.
    • Keep your telecomms and DLD books, they will come in handy for Comms2/Computer Architecture.
