I've upgraded with a tightbore barrel and a 50 degree hopup rubber and I'm still not getting the range I would like. What would be the next thing I should upgrade? Piston? Piston head, etc. Does anyone know what version gearbox it has and so what parts I should get? Thanks.

depends on what fps you have at the moment and if you have given the guarder time to bed in.you could also check what kind of nub you have, hard or soft, and check which works best for your set up.
took me two skirmishes b4 i saw the real benifits of the guarder

The gun chronoed around 310 the last time. That was with a different rubber but the BBs don't look noticably slower. I'm using the nub that came with the rubber, just a straight one. I have a few of the 'x' ones lying around, do you think they'd work better? And I've fired about 100 rounds through it now.

i dont think you notice much difference in the speed of the bb with your eye.
its hard to say about the x nub or the h nubs for that matter.everybody will have a contradicting story to the previous one.
that nub that came with it would be a soft one.i use the firefly buffer rubber with mine, that would be a little harder than what you have but i didnt put it in thinking this will be better,i just had one and installed it at the same time and was happy with the results so i left it.
you know that red and black rubber casing on the wires on batterys and aegs? ive used that as a nub before although it would be soft aswell.
theres nothing in the rule book that says "this is what you have to use"
trial and error mate to find out what works best for ya

Just tried out the different nub and a bit of the straw on a can of silicone and no better results. I think my fps is a little low. Unfortunately I've no chrono :/

i think maybe the straw might be a little on the thin side??
as i said lad,it took 2 skirmishes for me to notice a real difference.
stick with the nub that came with it for now and skirmish a few times(youll also get to chrono) and then see if theres any improvement

Ok. So roughly how many shots would that be? As in two skirmishes for you?

Ok I took the barrel and hopup out, gave everything a really good cleaning and added some tape to the back of the hopup chamber to make a tighter seal against the air nozzle. Now I'm shooting about 35 metres. Any tips on what else I could do?
