I'm considering replacing the 4 standard shocks on my 04 audi A4 with 4 koni fsd shocks.

I want to get it done in the audi dealership where i get my servicing done and I was wondering how much i should expect to pay for fitting? i'll source the shocks myself.

    thanks in advance.

I'd say you'll be looking at 4 hours labour easily which is around €400 at an Audi dealer.

Be aware that the dealer may refuse to fit a non-Audi part for warranty reasons.

Have you considered a good independent? I wouldn't pay the dealer premium for this job as any decent mechanic could do it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have used independents (and other main dealers) before but to be honest I've only been completely satisfied with the work from this particular garage.

One reason I've stayed with Audi/VW motors is for the peace of mind I get from the servicing and service I get from this garage.

They've fitted non OEM parts for me on other cars before too so I'm confident they'll fit them.

I was asking the question because I didn't know how long it would take to do the job. I'm going to get the car serviced at the same time.

Are you sure it would take 4 hours?

It probably won't, but I'm pretty sure a dealer will charge you for 4 hours.;)
