    I need some advice.
Basically my grads are on the Tuesday (in Cork) and this clashes with: Welcome to Trinity College School of Law, The Freshman Law Curriculum, Introducing Your Tutors and The Law School Mentoring Programme.

Are these things truly important or should I just go to my grads and attend everything else?

well honestly its not that important.

Welcome to Trinity College- thats just when they say well done for getting in, they introduce the lecturers to you, the lecturers say a few words. There will be so many people in the room you wont actually be talking to them one on one.

The JF Curriculam will just be going through what to expect in each class. But it wont be anything that the lecturers wont repeat in their first class with you.
Introducing to your tutors is literally where the tutors stand up say their names where to find them and say feel free to contact us for anything. you will have a one on one meeting with your tutor during the week anyway.

The Law School Mentoring Program- someone will come in and say we all understand how scary college can be, if you want we can give you a mentor who will be a student in 2, 3, or 4th year just to touch base with if stuff gets a bit crazy so they can give you a hand. If you can find out when they give out the mentors it might be handy to get one, even if only to know someone in an older year.

I went to all of the meetings last year. Those ones were pretty interesting and you get a first look at your class but if grad is something you really want to go to then i wouldn't miss that. On the other hand you would be kinda missing freshers week which you got to experience as a fresher.

p.s if you are going to miss any of the lectures make it the library one it is mind numbingly boring. But definitely go to the legal skills one because they will hand you out booklets which, depending on which group you are in, will have work that may need to be done for the next week.
