Right, bought a new external hard drive.

    It is 1.5TB in size
    It is in FAT32 Format
I have it set up with the correct folder names as I did with my other external drive.

The PS3 can see the hard drive. It shows up but when I hit triangle to display it says no files.

    Any ideas?

are there any files on it? :)

Seriously though, maybe it won't display files with extensions it can't use?

are you sure the external is in FAT32 and not exFAT?(or FAT64)

    Yeah,about 900gb worth.
It plays these same files from another external drive ok,the drive came formatted FAT32.I've confirmed this from Disk Management.

Im thinking it may be an issue with the drive sumhow as my tv doesnt recgonise the files either (usb slot and built in media player)
