I want to buy a laptop for my wife. I know she likes Dell laptops but I know nothing about Dell. Are they handy, long life ones?

Also, I saw Toshiba laptops in good prices with good equipment (compare to Dell) but how to explain to the woman I do not know :).

Any advice ? Dell or Toshiba?

(This one looks ok but I still don't know what to buy.)

I have more than 3 years old Fujitsu/Siemens Amilo laptop still in very good conditions and I hope it will be the same with the next one.

Both are respectable brands. Toshiba however has a better reputation for good build quality and long lasting laptops. That dell you picked out is a good one for everyday use and some multimedia.

The main complaint about dell is there customer service....so if you can find a Toshiba laptop with the same specs and for the same or slightly higher price then go for it.

If not well that Dell will do fine....I mean the customer service isnt that bad. :p
