It's a fee paying college; therefore it has lower entry points than others. However, this does not mean it's an institution of a lower quality, far from it, actually.

    So, you have two options:

1: Attend DBS, but obviously that will entail paying a large annual fee.

    2: Repeat your leaving cert.

But, what worries me is that you say you want to go to a college to have fun; i understand that you want to socialise and hang out with newly met friends, but that shouldn't be the crux when choosing a college. Anyway, if you attended DBS i am sure you would have just as much fun as you would have in any other college. It's the people that make it enjoyable, not the name of the college.

    Good luck!!

If you end up getting the qualification, I doubt your Leaving Cert results would be held against you. As I said, DBS is a reputable institution and is highly regarded, even if it is fee-paying. Ultimately, the decision to repeat or pay the high cost of tuition is up to you!!

    Good luck!
