Paris held on cocaine charge...

Don't usually post here but was googling something related (cocaine not Ms Hilton) and this came up on the news section. Looks like she could be joining Lohan in the slammer...

During the stop, officers found what appeared to be a drug on Hilton and later tests showed that it was cocaine, Martin said. He didn't know how much was found.

He said Hilton was apparently recognized by passers-by and a crowd quickly gathered in the area where the vehicle had been pulled over.

Police watch commander Lt. Wayne Holman said Hilton was still being held around 2 a.m. Saturday but would probably be freed on her own recognizance later in the morning.

Hilton's manager and a publicist didn't immediately return AP calls for comment.

Police didn't immediately released the name of the man who was driving the car. Martin said he's not sure if he was also arrested.

Hilton was arrested this summer after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.

Hilton pleaded no contest in 2007 to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. After spending about 23 days in jail, Hilton told U.S. television host Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."

Doesn't really surprise me that she either takes it or has been caught with it....I'm surprised that even she's stupid enough to drive around smoking pot whilst she has class A in her handbag.

Nevada has some of the harshest drug laws in the US, cocaine + celebrity is a chance for local judges to create a big noise and make an example.

Probably right though biggins...you'll see the guy that was driving claiming possesion ("Uh she was just holding it for me dude") and taking the fall with some compensation waiting shen he gets out...

How convenient eh! Will they ever learn. This is her third drugs bust in three months.

Those pesky coke-filled purses, leaping around indiscriminately from one person to the other, you just can't trust em.

Next time she'll blame it on her pet rodent-dog, or Chihuahua as rodent-dog-loving celebs like to call them.

Ah yes of course...someone as wealthy as Ms Hilton gets her purse confused with somebody else's in a Vegas club. Happens all the time.

It'll now come down to the driver then, since he's ultimately responsible for the contents of the car...unless someone from the club reclaims their "lost" purse...

Thats it, if in trouble deny all knowledge concerning bag and such contents. Sure hasn't it worked for her before.

Really RTE, im a bit suprised:eek:. Id expect it with TV3 but RTE must not have had anything else to report on. Their idea of entertainment is a report with Enda Kenny sharing a joke or Brian Cowen singing. Bit harsh i know.

Paris Hilton Denied Access to Japan and Detained

After pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges on Monday, hotel heiress Paris Hilton was denied access to Japan today.

She was there for a business trip but immigration officials reportedly stopped her from entering the country because of the drug charges and sentence.

"Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier", her rep confirmed. Hilton will have to stay at an airport hotel until the matter is settled.
